Tamar Shuali TrachtenbergProf. Dr. Tamar Shuali Trachtenberg, is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education and Teachers Training, Catholic University of Valencia UCV, she obtained her PhD in Pedagogy and an International Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies. Her fields of interest are intercultural education, social justice and inclusion, civic education, and European values and citizenship.

She teaches Intercultural Education, International Comparative Education and Inclusive Education. She was a founding member of the International Network for Inclusion in School Systems and at present she is the coordinator of the Ibero-Mediterranean Research Network on Etno-cultural Identities, Education and Public Policy. She was a consultant expert to the Council of Europe and the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) on Holocaust and Intercultural Education, and to the Regional Government of Valencia (Generalitat) on youth participation. She is the leader of the research group on Citizenship, Cultural Diversity & Education. She is a member of the European Educational Research Association (EERA), of the Sociedad Española de Pedagogía (Spanish Society of Pedagogy), and of the Sociedad Española de Educación Comparada (Spanish Society of Comparative Education).
