BannerMigration remains a top concern for EU citizens. By making global migration data easy to access and use, the Atlas of Migration 2020 addresses one of the priorities of the new European Commission for the decades to come.  The Atlas of Migration brings together harmonized, up-to-date and validated data on the status of migration and demography in 27 EU Member States and 171 non-EU countries and territories.

The interactive online tool is underpinned by a continuously updated data repository and presented on a dynamic platform. It shows the latest available data, through charts which are interactive so users can make and print country/territory profiles that are shaped to their needs. The reference book presents the available data on a range of migration-related fields in a format that is easy to access and to understand. This provides a snapshot of migration around the world at a particular moment in time. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to reshape societies and economies around the world, the Atlas of Migration provides an essential resource to start understanding its implications for migration and mobility in the EU and worldwide. The third section focuses closely on the relationship between the pandemic and migration, providing some new insights and food for thought on what lies ahead. [+]

CoverInmigración en tiempos de Covid-19. Anuario CIDOB de la Inmigración 2020
Joaquín Arango, Blanca Garcés, Ramón Mahía y David Moya (dir.)
Barcelona, CIDOB, 2021

[descargar]

CoverMigrant integration statistics — 2020 edition

Migrant integration statistics presents different aspects of the European Union (EU) statistics on the integration of migrants. The successful integration of migrants into society in the host country is key to maximising the opportunities of legal migration and making the most of the contributions that immigration can make to EU development. In this publication, migrant integration is measured in terms of employment, education, social inclusion and active citizenship in the host country.

The analysis is based on statistics from the Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS), statistics on income and living conditions (EU-SILC) and Eurostat’s migration statistics. Data are presented for the European Union and its Member States, the United Kingdom as well as for the EFTA countries. [+]

CoverInternational Recommendations on Internally Displaced Persons Statistics (IRIS)

The International Recommendations on Internally Displaced Persons Statistics (IRIS) provide a set of specific recommendations that countries and international organizations can use to improve the production, overall quality, coordination, and dissemination of statistics on internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The recommendations were produced as part of the mandate of the Expert Group on Refugee and Internally Displaced Persons Statistics (EGRIS). They have been developed as a joint and consolidated effort of experts from the national statistical systems and international organizations, all members of EGRIS. The recommendations were adopted by the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC) in March 2020.

Although a separate product, the IRIS recommendations are aligned with the International Recommendations on Refugee Statistics (IRRS), also developed by the EGRIS. The link between these two documents is important because of similarities between the production of statistics about the two populations concerned, which are often both relevant in the same given country, particularly where returning refugees may be reintegrating alongside IDPs.

The IRIS recommendations build on the Technical Report on Statistics of Internally Displaced Persons, and links between IRIS and the technical report are referenced throughout, particularly in respect of country practices. [+]

| RAPID/IP/1561, 7.9.2020
